Plant a Fairy Garden Pot: April 20th, 2:00-3:00pm
Take all the guesswork out of growing beautiful, healthy, blooming fairy gardens when you plant with our greenhouse expert, Crystal. Choose from one of our pots or bring your own (must arrive cleaned out and empty). During this class, you’ll receive expert advice on how to select your plants and how to successfully plant and care for your pot. We have a great selection of fairies and accessories. You’ll take home something unique to enjoy all season long.
Native Bee Workshop: April 27th, 2:00-4:00pm
- Hour 1- Free workshop to learn about solitary bees, their habitat, development cycle, and their preferred forage (plants)
- Hour 2- Purchase and build your own bee condo! ($200 cost for the project)
- Includes 50 Osmia lignaria bees known to pollinate Apple and Cherry trees. Makes a great gift!
Limited to 30 bee condo packages. During the class, enjoy 10% off select bee-friendly plants and 5% off cherry and apple trees.
Workshop will be led by native bee expert, Kimball Clark (NativeBees.com). Since 2007, Kimball has kept over 8 different solitary bee species, and his patented bee nest in improved upon each year. He regularly works with the USDA and UDAF to carry research studies on teh benefit of solitary bee pollinators in agriculture. Each Spring, Kimball provides bees, nests and pollination services to farms throughout the country.
Water-Wise Plant Class @ Ogden Botanical Gardens, April 27th, 11:30am-1:00pm
